We talking about numbers , a game that has 25M players but currently how many players are still playing this game? Many of the players drop out the game because one reason , pvp experience is getting ignored, the develepors are only focusing on the pve aspect of the game and for me, thats a game breaking experience.

I allways defended the developers saying to myself and to all my crewmates that they are adding new stuff season after season and personal i think thats great and keeps the game alive, keep the good work but dont forget "us", the people that play this game looking for a good fight not only the quests...

Best updates that this game got was FOTD and FOF and this was an pve update that brings pvp and im looking foward for this new type of forts that were tease in the preview event.

Going back to the arena topic... i spend so much time in arena, i love arena, i love that mini sea battle royal, where i improve my in-game skill free out of consequences, where we players dont have nothing to lose (loot). Why you are killing one of the best pvp mode that are in the game? Why killing it instead of trying to improve? New rewards? New achievements? TDM mode? Dont kill Arena! You guys are making the "OG" players losing fate on you guys when it touch on the pvp experience.

I play this game for the fight, sinking a gally while solo sloop, one of the best experiences that this game as to offer, that feeling of acouplish, i play this game for the fun, getting one ball while shooting out of the cannon, i play this game for the people, how many friends you made with this game? I play this game because it has a huge potencial! Listen to the community and lets make this game with 25M currently active players!

Sad to see that with arena its a Big Slap in the face of the players thats all i can say without getting ugly in a comment ....

Nah forget that. There need to be things that can be earned, not bought. It de values the cosmetic and the point that Rare is trying to make here.

Time limited things tell a personal story to your pirates character. Arena has been out for a long time, and there have been multiple gold and glory days where ranking up arena levels were easy.

Makes sense and I agree with the decision. However, i do hope the Sea Dogs faction makes it into adventure. I personally have one idea for how it could work, so I'm sure the Devs have thought about it too. I would love a friendly PvP faction as a foil/counterpart to the Reapers.

I think it's unfortunate that this is happening. I had some ideas to make it more competitive and possibly entice players a bit more to enjoy this mode but, alas I am not partnered so it would fall on deaf ears.

Good luck to all those striving in the next month to earn as much as they can before the closing.

Thank you Devs for all of your hard work and dedication. I know this decision was not made lightly. I should have played Arena more...much regret now. I should beable to going to the costmetics before the 10th.

For those who dont have the time....I hope that the fate of the cosmetics are reconsidered, making the Glourious SD and Triumphant SD ship and clothing sets obtainable in adventure in some way feasible.

Will Legendary Sea Dog become unobtainable after this? Because it's a Athena commendation, not a Sea Dogs one. I would grind for it but I would need 10 wins a day :( A sooner announcement would have been nice

Please PLEASE let the cosmetics be earnable I wanted those sets so bad. I was 3 levels from 50 and now I'm missing out on Good Boy. Needless to say, I'm hyped for Adventure and the new stuff but Arena should have been handled differently, even if it was shut down still.

I'm ecstatic to see that the Arena Ship cosmetics will be awarded. However, as many may or may not know, there are 7 teams in the Arena, while you've only listed 6. The Midnight Prowl was a scrapped Black and White arena team whose logo was that of a crescent moon. This team color was never playable in-game, except for a rare bug when Arena was first released where the Midnight Prowl ship would spawn in, and repeatedly sink hundreds of times. This aside, you never did mention what you will be doing with The Sea Dogs as a Trading Company. Will their Tavern remain? What about the faction? The characters?

I love this idea ... reward this only to people who have completed the Sea Dogs Faction to 100%. That would be a nice parting gift to those who spent the time and effort, and would lessen the blow of eliminating the game mode.

@madziewolf I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with the sentiment, but the ship sets are not meant to be an earnable or grindable item - they’re a thank you to those who already did it. The other rewards that were always earnable are still earnable until March 10th.

It's a pity that Arena wasn't that popular, but I will say, with more than 800 games won, that one of my fav period playing this game was back in the summer of 2019 playing Arena. It's been a blast and I've met one of the best crewmates I still play with.

I say this as a day one player with hundreds if not thousands of hours in the game. This just seems like another move in punishing players who enjoy the PVP aspect. For a lot of players Arena is being used as an avenue to quickly access both naval and hand to hand PVP in order to hone our skills for use in adventure mode as well as scratch that itch. Now we will have to spend needless hours roaming in Adventure mode with the hopes of spotting a ship OR just quit the game completely for something else. It seems the only time Adventure mode becomes worthwhile to us is during double gold weekends or weeks with new world events enticing people to put up emissaries.

I am fine with you abandoning updating it but it should not be removed from the game.

@krayzmallory Me too..it's so sad because the good boy is my favorite arena set and im literally level 49. Just a simple "hey, we're shutting arena down soon, so maybe reach level 50 before 1/27 for a special reward!" Or something like that. I'm really hoping Rare reconsiders the deadline for the rewards at the very least.

Very strange and very sad that this was said after the fact, without warning. I personally, and a decent number of players (according to the reddit thread) are very close to the maximum (45-49 lvl) and were planning to complete leveling in the community day.

Are you serious about announcing it this way without letting the players know in time? What about the players who are now 49? or 99.9%?

The Collector Goblin in me is angry... I always thought it would be there, I never thought it would leave... Now I have to get 240 wins... 42 days...lets go
