@butterfinger750 I am so very sad with this, I started playing this year, and sadly missed the whole Gilded Phoenix Clothing and ship set last year, As the game severely lacks good blue cosmetics. This is one the best looking ones IMO and the only set i have wanted since i started playing. Instead we get another Ashen Dragon re-skin for drops. The severe lack of diversity in in-game cosmetics is bad, i understand that the emporium brings them money and the importance of it(the set added today was a nice change away from the bright cosmetics) but the lack of updating/adding new cosmetics on a normal basis in game for gold is not good. We have a very big lack of color cosmetic diversity in game. Please Rare, more blue stuff as well as just more diversity overall in cosmetics in game and twitch drops.

@voshell aye, that’s where the Silvered Legendary eyepatch came from. Should be a whole set in itself imo.
@lethalblu at least the Eastern Winds Sapphire set has a bit of blue in it. Hopefully they’ll rerun the Gilded Phoenix stuff soon. They had the hull for last community day so keep your eyes peeled!

The White Ghost clothes are probably going to be an Athena Emissary Ledger reward somewhere down the line if I had to guess. They'll likely be reworked to eliminate glowing, floating pieces and change the grey/black elements to gold as they have done with the weapons and ship.

I think that would look decent; I would approve of either color palette.
@chronodusk I sure hope they speed up the rate of which we’re getting them. I don’t want to have to wait another couple years to get the rest of the sets

I understand not dropping it all at one time; but the rate has slowed down since Season 6. We should have had all re-colors of the basic sets at minimum by now....

The biggest update to cosmetics ever would be the ability to recolor them with selectable colors. This would add so much more to the clothing system in game. Maybe by using a black and white version of the base texture and mapping the colored parts so that players could apply their own favourite colors on the cosmetics? This would allow so much more freedom and creativity wtih all the base cosmetics, and all that needs to be done is a black and white converstion of the base texture and mapping of the colored parts with a way to change each parts color on the fly.
One can always dream.

They should have went with clothing first and then equipment.
I have to admit....the memento for the new adventure was a fantastic move by Rare. Releasing Stitcher Jim's Vest is by far one of the best moves they could have made toward overall cosmetics and possibly soon to be jewelry! I would love to see the consistency ramped up with this type of clothing. I am still pulling for previously teased cosmetics to be released before we see anything new on the horizon; but this gives me hope that we can see similar, and more of the iconic NPC cosmetics mentioned previously real soon!

Lol I guess I don't know. But, many NPC's do have jewelry/accessories (earrings, piercings, necklaces, etcetera...) and it would logically be the most progressive step if they expand cosmetic selection.

I don't typically sport the full outfit for any clothing set; but this ^ would be an exception. The only other set I would role in its entirety would be Seamark's outfit
Give or take a minor tweak or two for either

they do have it because it's easy to make it for them. They just have to make one model and not bother with any other cosmetics. It's like some costumes also have jewelry, because they are whole pieces and Rare does not need to think of the jewelry colliding with other models and adjusting it to every existing piece of clothing. But imo this should be done. I would rather have a confirmation that it is coming and wait for them to work on it than having the limited diversity in cosmetics that we have now. Not even just jewelry, but we should also be able to pick peglegs, hooks and eyepatches wherever we want, different gloves and boots (though I think they won't do switching eyepatches and hooks because a lot of animations in game are based on the fact that your right arm is always present, and your right eye always sees)

I know; I was just Joshing ya. But it is probably the closest thing we will get in SoT. To be honest though, Elijah's beard is intimidating!

The one with the dagger isn't too bad; but I can't say I would feel cool wearing a hat that had a piece of candy on it....sometimes the cosmetics are just a tad too gimmicky for me lol
Also, not fair the NPC with the candy hat gets to sport the Morningstar Beard.....he must be on Chapter 2 of the Revenge of the Morningstar Tall Tale because that is the only time any of us can wear it.
