@asheralia How did you deal with it? If I start the whole thing from the beginning, is there a chance that it will be ok?
@myxoske same issue here, started the tall tale last night. After the church cutscene I cant move anymore, can open the inventory wheel but cant select anything, can open the pirate communictation wheel, this wheel works, emote wheel cant be selected, escape button cant be selected so options screen is unavailble, only way to shutdown on pc is alt+F4. After login again I can select continue previous session but this session will stay in the loading screen. Selecting the tall tale on the quest table and starting from the 4th checkpoint, it is possible to sail through the portal and continue the last checkpoint, but when you get back to the church it is bugged again....Removed all cosmetics on player and ship, changed weapons to base skins, nothing works.
@donjosco I tried starting from the checkpoint 7 times and got the same bug every time. I don't think we'll be able to finish this tall tale :(
Did you only try solo, or maybe you also tried with crew member? Maybe someone want to try together?
So you start the game, first thing you see is "Secret of Monkey Island" in the middle of the screen, and you are not able to complete the tale....Thats a nasty little critter.

I had this issue since may 24 when I though it was my internet/connection having issues. Had tried many times daily still the same. It was a bit disappointing since I was so hyped playing through all the tall tails with my son to get the shantie...
Same issue, people also send screen record of what's actually happening https://www.reddit.com/r/Seaofthieves/comments/1czhpoz/lechuck_bossfight_is_bugged/
Relaunch and rejoining session ends up with infinite game loading.
Relaunch of the game and starting new session ends up the same.
Bloody tale, when it all ends...?
@balbouz90 No pupdate as of yet matey!
But with June's update just around the corner, I am sure it won't be long before it is fixed.
As an avid player who has spent countless hours traversing the vast seas, engaging in thrilling adventures, and facing off against formidable adversaries, I have encountered numerous bugs and glitches that, although somewhat expected in a dynamic online environment, have significantly impacted my overall experience. However, one particular issue stands out as particularly frustrating and recurrent: the encounter with LeChuck in the church fight.
The confrontation with LeChuck within the confines of the church should be a climactic moment, filled with tension, strategy, and adrenaline-fueled action. Yet, time and time again, this pivotal encounter has been marred by a persistent bug that causes LeChuck to become inexplicably stuck, rendering the battle unwinnable and forcing me to restart the game. This not only disrupts the flow of gameplay but also undermines the immersion and narrative coherence of the experience.
Beyond the immediate frustration of encountering this bug, its implications are far-reaching. It wastes precious time and effort invested in preparing for and engaging in this challenging encounter, detracting from the enjoyment and sense of accomplishment that should accompany overcoming such formidable foes. Moreover, it erodes trust in the stability and reliability of the game, raising doubts about its overall quality and longevity.
