Basically after you click start game (where its we're display season the current season) you wake up in a tavern something like the old sea dogs tavern sealed off from the main world. With all the things sea of thieves has to offer in its current UI menu with interactable objects. News board, adventure mode, safer seas, tall tales as well as the pirate emporium. All accessible with interactable objects inside this tavern. Other players can be seen in this lobby up to eight, you can choose to set sail with them.
They could all tie this in with the much wanted guild hide outs. Much like the pirate legend hide out or the Guardians of Fortune back room you would have to play a Shanty or talk to an NPC, while joined to a guild to enter this room.
Mabey even a board of players in the current lobby with photos of there pirates. When interacted shows hand picked commendation/achievements by you the player, of your pirates escapades like picture frames in the current game.
There should be option for muting players in tavern lobby to save a headache. Text chat as well would have to turn off text to speech.
Tab all ready shows your rep Commendations and guild stuff and you can just hit tab in this lobby tavern to see it.
