I would love to have six people to crew a galleon. I hate having to tell my fifth friend who signs online while we are mid voyage to wait or have to switch games to include him. I understand balancing, especially on the pvp side, but the sailing and pirate enthusiast in me want s a ship full of hungry pirates to overpower the voyages, fleets, krakens, and other ships on the high seas. I would love to sail around and form an alliance with a big crew like that and have our alliance take over a map. Sloop numbers are fine and the brig feels amazing, but let big bertha hold as many as we can fit, she is already so slow but who cares about catching up when you've got six! Maybe make events that encourage people to have max crew size? Thanks for listening to my suggestion.

If you ever are on a galleon and find another galleon. Ally up and have all 8 players on a single ship. And watch as you all jump the ship to sink a single sloop, watch you fire all cannons, raise sails and turn the ship at the same time, while keeping perfect aim.

You're not gonna find many who agree with you here, as the forum has many exclusively solo players.
I'm sure the galleon isn't the right ship for this, but I too would like a bigger boat option for larger-than-4 crew sizes.
I also think the balance argument is a lame one. A solo-sloop will never ever balance with a 4-man boat.Before release, I had hoped that the Burning Blade would allow allianced crews to all be on the same big boat, but that didn't happen unfortunately.

IME it wasn't a coordinated experience. Too many voices, a lot of BS, talking and joking around. Very fun night, but not productive at all.
If anyone else has experienced this, I think we can likely agree that 8 on a gally is too many.
FWIW, I hate the Galleon, so I've not tried this again after completing Glitterbeard.
