I haven't recorded my shanty yet, but maybe before launch. It's a call-and-response song -- and I have ideas for instrumental interludes between the verses -- so it wouldn't be a quick and easy recording. "Heave Ho" is the title for now. A forum member requested I add the verse about the kraken.

I'm currently working on writing a tab for becalmed on the Ukulele, I'm not too great at the Ukulele and the tuning isn't right for one note..I've done the whole song but it's missing a little bit. If anyone is a better Ukulele player let me know, I'll gladly send it over and hopefully they can make it better :)

I haven't! I've done bit's of freelance work and some commission work here and there but never anything huge! Honestly I'd love to make a comic or a children's book or something, it's a nice goal to work towards!
@ii-mikez-ii Sound's good! :D I'm thinking of working it out by chest type's, starting at a sketch and with more expensive chests go up to being coloured, lined and a background and such just brainstorming at the moment but I honestly feel like this could be a fun trade!

@pokepaws I had the honor of meeting one of the great cartoonist of our time back when I was 12 and he was doing a presentation and workshop for young people like myself. The one important message he gave all of us was get your work out there. Give it away if you have to, but keep getting it out there. You have talent, have fun with it, others will enjoy it and it just might get you started on the path to bigger things.
@wolff34 When I was in college I did a weeks animation camp with Aardman, it's so nice to actually chat and work with people who are or have been in the field before.
And that's what I'm aiming for! I have a lot of social media, most of the art I do is related to something I know someone will like, fanart for games for example, or just gifting something to someone of their own characters, it's a nice feeling.

@pokepaws Bravo! That’s what it takes to make it in this field. I’ve been retired now since 2003, but now I stay busy by doing pro bono work. Still like to see my work published and help someone at the same time. The last book I illustrated was by a divorced mother of three that wanted to help other women going through the same thing. No money for you, but a great feeling that you may have made a difference for others.
