Now I'm just spitballing here, but, if there were an outfit that you could possibly find in rare/cursed chests, that would be amazing. So say for instance that you turned in a chest of sorrows and there was a 1 in 1000 chance that you would get a hat that always was wet or something because of the chest that was crying. Or the chest of a thousand grogs gave you a coat with a glowing grog on it. Then design an entire outfit around it and put it into the game and not tell anyone. People would eventually find the loot and post it somwhere and that would peak a lot of peoples interests because honestly that would make me sail around for literal days upon days trying to find all the cool outfits. I don't know, it sounds like a cool idea. You guys tell me what you think.

I'm a huge fan of hiding things in games and letting the players find them. I would love there to be additional outfits rewarded like you've described. Super low chance of finding them from their specific legendary chest, but you know that some players would sail for days and days trying to get them.
Yeah, cosmetics and customisation are going to be a huge factor in this game. So having a vast number and deep variety is extremely important, in my opinion. I too, would love to see 'rare' or 'exotic' items. Such items could be for a limited time to buy at vendors or like OP suggested, within treasure chests on the rare occasion.
@admiral-tweedle I want this. Alas im a long way away as I dont get as much game time as I used to. No rush though, just enjoy the game.
