Floating barrels

  • When collecting resources from a floating barrel, when the floating barrel is empty it should sink so we know it's empty?

  • @notsoofriendly1 I just kind of think the heavy full ones should be on the bottom of the ocean, then when they are empty they float up um because they are empty and a lot lighter.
Just my thought but I kind of like your thought also. lol

I just thought if you were to open a sealed barrel to take items out air would escape and water would fill it up making it sink? To be honest I don't mind what option they choose, it would just be a better feature to exclude empty barrels! Definitely a good suggestion though.

  • I agree, empty barrels should sink or allow us to bring the entire barrel on the ship, like gun powder.

do we know if the floating barrels are appearing in the water where a ship sank, or are they always floating in the same places?

  • @notsoofriendly1 I agree with you completely. I was being in my rare goofy mood in my first post. I have come upon barrels floating in the sea to take the time and what do you know most of them were empty so I feel your pain. Happy Sailing.

  • @kondrites Please remember that the world doesn't make sense. For example, a cannon ball weighs anywhere from 4 to 42 pounds. Yet a pirate can carry ten of them, and not even be seen on one's body. Sadly, we can only carry 5 bananas, and I don't even want to know where we keep 5 planks on our person. So in the world, assumptions could be made that empty things are heavier than full things when in water.

  • @vicioustwist They seem to drift.
