I am Suggesting a Sunken Slopes, and Briggs and Massive Sunken Ship Graveyard with a New Enemy type (Sea Monster, Mermaid, Whirlpool etc)? Imagine for a moment that you peirce through the fog, and you see 20-30 ships floating in peices, some sunk others not, what would be your reaction?
What do you as the community think of this idea, what would you add, i would love to hear your feedback and input. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Gonna give this a bump, I actually really love this idea and think it could be possible to implement down the line.
I would LOVE a part of the map where it's riddled with all types of shipwrecks and floating skeleton pieces, and in the area, the AI threats [ Kraken, Meg, and other sea creatures, no Skeleton crews or anything ] are a actively heard, seen in the distance i.e. the colossal shadow of the Kraken lurking around, and they attack more aggressively.

Seen from under the Water/s Surface ? Or from the Ship "IN" the Water? ;-)
Imagine a creepy, deep Noise of a massive Being under the Waves and then You see a GIGANTIC Shadow diving by under your Ship which is faster in the Direction You are sailing and the Shadow is far bigger than your Ship ... ... ...

Actually the shipwrecks apparently are planned to get new "guests". From concept art revealed in the book it seems sunken wrecks will be getting barracudas in both a regular and skeletal form, along with new skeleton sharks. But as for your idea I definitely like the sounds of it. My buddy Killer Wolf Tay even came across a triple sunken wreck spot before with three ships, one on the surface, and two below. He noticed them by the swarm of gulls overhead being more numerous than normal. I could see your ship graveyard idea as the spot for Merfolk (the hostile ones with orange eyes, not the sailor saving ones with blue eyes).
