Can I play on Pc with PS3'controller?

    Hi,
    I wanna play at SoT with ps3'controller, I use MotioninJoy Gamepad tool forsome other games but on SoT it doesn't work. Can you help me?

    @ballaz995 ahoy there! Sea of Thieves as far as I know is only compatible with the Xbox Controllers! Hope this helps.

    @ballaz995 You can get Xbox controllers which are designed to look like the PlayStation ones and vice versa.

    But you would probably have to buy It specially, I don’t think any controller would work.

    I have a mate who plays on PC with a PlayStation controller, I think it's a PS4 controller so I don't know about the PS3 one.

    She just needs to know which buttons match those of the Xbox controller.

    It should be possible, I play on PC and my PS4 controller works with sea of thieves. But I’m using DS4Windows, which basically makes the PC believe i’m using a Xbox controller. There might be similar methods to run a PS3 controller.

    @whorty i will try use it but it works only with ps4'controller, it doesn't see my controller

    I don't understand why MotioninJoy works with other games (like Nier Automata, Crash Bandicoot, ect...)

    @ballaz995 If you simply plug in the controller, I believe it should work without MotioninJoy - which is malware, by the by. I'd try uninstalling MotioninJoy and the drivers. Then plug in the controller and let Win 10 install drivers for it - it should treat the PS3 controller as an Xbox controller. I did this with a DualShock 3 controller and it worked.
