Hourglass rep

  • I understand this is a senstive topic, so I will be cautious. Hourglass rep, at times, is annoying if you are not skilled. Most people think not to do the gameode until a boost.

    Here is my suggestion:

    1. Actually bring back fight night but with a tad higher multiplier to be on G&G level increase
    2. Pve way of hg sucks and should stay that way but there should be a way to get rep other than win or lose. (Maybe extremely small amout for each player killed, prob less than the amount you get if you lose to prevent farming)

Honestly if these two changes are made it would make HG nights or HG grinds that much better. It also can reveal how bad the game may be doing in terms of health to the devs in the best way possible.

  • It definitely could do with some reworks, though if they add rep per kill then that would lead to people spawn camping if they get an easy ship to do so on because even with little rep, it will probably add up faster than getting sinks against even matches. One thing i vouch that should be done is removing the rep slowdown that you get for the first 100 levels, since after you reach 100 you skyrocket through levels at break neck speed, but before hand it slows so horribly that it can be demotivating.

Im rank 144 in guardians and 150 in servants.

If I can earn one level of allegiance per hour spent hourglassing that’s really good progress for me.

I do not feel that levels post level 100 are skyrocketing at break neck speed lol. You literally just made that up.

I did not "literally make that up" it is a metaphor (figured that was a given), since pre 100 it slows down so much that when that restriction is removed its insanely fast to gain levels in contrast.

The change that was made by the devs way back when hourglass dropped was to decrease the speed at which levels beyond 100 can be earned not speed them up. I think you’ve got it backwards.

Im not talking about a change to the system, but the fact that there is a massive reduction up to 100 that is cut back afterwards. Getting from 100 to 110 is significantly faster than going from 90 to 100.

Regardless of the semantics, hourglass rep for the first 100 levels could be reworked considerably to make it actually approachable for more people and far less demotivating.

Why only for the first 100 levels?

Hourglass progression should be reworked because it’s painful no matter what level you are unless you mantain a very high win rate.

Because the first 100 are the slowest 100 to gain, and that is the main section that demotivates people. Ill let this topic be because it doesnt feel to be going very far.

  • You know, I like to see a Rework with defending.

If your defending and say are able to acquire about 50-100 pieces of loot of any kind. Deliver them while sailing with Athena or Reaper at Grade 5, you should get some points. Regardless if someone attacks you or not. (Ive gone hours with Hourglass active and nobody raises from the depths) but atm, if im not attacked...I gain nothing.

  • @goldsmen I would defintly love this. 1-100 grind for last 50 levels is so annoying. It should be the same the whole time
