Its tiresome. Mods should just ban these discussions all together, nothing comes out of it. There are few PC players who actually try to argue decently but the majority is just nuts.

Nah sorry mate I disagree with you, there is truth to the skill element weather you like it or not.

If you want to debate about input, then the best solution is to maintain cross play across the board but instead offer a pool for controller players only that includes all platforms this is the fairest way for everyone.

As for performance? I'm sorry to break this to you but you got what paid for, the Xbox one was underpowered when it released, let alone in 2019, rares best bet is to offer a performance mode as Xbox is clearly punching up on the graphics quality settings it is trying to achieve. Lower the Res to 900P lower the graphics settings to which you will barely notice and your performance and FPS will improve dramatically il put money on it, come on rare.

A SSD you say ? I chose to pay for one as a optional extra, just as many other Xbox and pc players have.

Toxicity? It exists everywhere.

Thanks for agreeing with me. Xbox is underpowered and therefore PC players have a hardware advantage. Thankfully with crossplay opt-out Xbox players will have more balanced environment.

Quite the opposite, it's not that PC is overpowered and has a "advantage" if anything technically there is also worse PC hardware running this game than Xbox users, the difference being they can set the performance accordingly, it's as you said, the Xbox is "underpowered" therefore it is punching up for the settings it is trying to achieve and failing, hence why a visual adjustment is overdue for Xbox for the benefit of it's performance.

Even if you take PC out the equation, the Xbox version still performs like trash at its current settings.

The issue isn't PC, the issue is your own platform.

In short are you seriously implying that you wouldn't like a improved frame rate and load time for the sake of blaming PC instead?

Here's the thing, your platform already has hardware and performance disparity without PC being in the picture.

Scarlett is coming In 12 months with all the "masterrace" essentials on top.

Microsoft first parties also give upgrades to games to take advantage of newer hardware wether it's backwards compatibility patches or X enhanced patches many of which improve all the common complaints against PC.

Every Xbox one game is going to be backwards compatible at launch , im sure you can figure the rest out, even with PC out the equation your "level playing field" isn't so even and is about to inevitably get worse.

The confirmation is there sure, but at this point taking the basic premise of the entire basis for this is pretty ironic and pointless for you given what's just on the horizon.

At least next time you can't blame PC players for another player loading in faster than you etc etc because you chose to buy anemic hardware with a developer that's made bad choices for your specific hardwares performance ratio.

I have played on xbox before and even used controller for a good while and all my crew mates are on xbox. Out of all the players I play with I think only 2 are on PC.....yeah only 2 and the second one is actually recent, but all my xbox crewmates have more wins in arena then I do and they sink ships all the time. They complain NEVER about PC.....maybe because they bothered to learn how to play the game??

Don't know man, maybe learn more and try harder? Ask questions from other players on what you can do differently? Hope you get better at the game broski. salute o7

I haven't played since I finished TT because of not being able to opt out of cross play :(

It doesn't matter if they never add the option to opt out of crossplay in adventure. Xbox players can rock PC players the same way PC players can rock Xbox players. If they actually DID make it an option in adventure, then that'd just split the playerbase, and the seas would be pretty dead.

I'm not saying we can't kill pc players I'm saying we should have a choice on if we choose to play with PC or not. All we are asking for is what we were promised? The player base is already split.

We were promised optional crossplay, yes. But do we need it? No, not really. If the player base is already split, then we don't want to split it more.

Yes we were promised it whether or not you feel like it's needed is your personal opinion. I believe it is. My point is either rare implement it like promised or release figures to prove your theory that it would harm the game. Either that or these arguments will remain pointless.

Time doesn't mean you know what you are doing. A lot of players can keep playing PvE and never learn how to actually PvP or defend themselves.

Learning how to fight and sail in this game isn't something that happens after 2 hours. Just like chess and other games, you can learn the basics but really learning takes dedication. If you don't have the motivation or you always believe you have some kinda of handicap then you are going to lose.

So your saying that everyone who has an issue with forced crossplay just doesn't know how to PVP? Are you honestly listening to yourself! I know what I'm doing lol as I said been playing since day 1, have no issues with PvP, prefer it to PvE. What I do have an issue with is forced disadvantages and a community that try to force their beliefs on you or just proclaim that your not good at the game.

I honestly can't with you anymore. 🙄😂 Its bordering on delusion.

@staceyxsx Y'know, you can do something for long periods of time without being good at it, and, I'd like to state again, xbox players don't have a disadvantage, because the seas are a mixed bag. Some xbox players use mouse and keyboard, some PC players use controller, and everyone can still kill everyone efficently. No one's got an advantage to anyone.

Yes, let's be adults and realize that we don't all take the time to watch every stream, dev update, and interview.

I have a vague memory of them mentioning opt out at something like E3 where they said it was on the way. Then it came out for Arena. I don't remember hearing any talk about specifically Adventure or Arena.

But my knowledge on the matter is limited, so I didn't want to act like I was stating any facts or anything. So I asked the question to see if anyone in the thread more knowledgeable about the subject could provide any clarification on the matter.

Y'know... like an adult.

As I said considering your are vocal on every crossplay discussion I highly doubt you don't know but whatever 🤷‍♀️
