You're right - double guns weren't the problem. The problem was the instant 1-2 punch from both firearms that virtually gave you an instant-kill with no way to possibly fight back. Enjoy your double-guns, but I'll make sure you miss, and my crew will make sure that you won't be able to finish reloading. ;)
@galactic-geek too many people still walk around at low health! I rarely need a second shot!
To be honest, everyone I personally ran into complained more about having two shots, not the speed. My brain is pretty smooth so I personally played with a long delay between shoots as I was more concerned with accuracy than speed. accuracy was always key in my opinion.
I look forward to your entire crew chasing me around with your swords while cannon fire rattles your ship, maybe not your crew specifically, but that is another thing that happens! You also make the assumption I’m set in my ways. Different tactics in different situations.

@sshteeve feedback on changes is bait? Maybe it triggered you. Sorry, I was curious if anyone else is excited for the changes. Guns feel stronger to me.

@sshteeve In conversations, the intent of the person you are writing with matters. Wether you think it was bait or not is no longer relevant. We had a midunderstanding.
