Double Flintlock ChargeShot Rework

  • As it is now the Double Flintlock needs some love.

The charge-shot currently fires two bullets, and still kills just one skeleton. What’s even the point of using it. (One bullet already kills a skeleton/ghost)

The charge shot should go through multiple enemies like a sword lunge does.

The bullet would fire, and once it hits and enemy for a short range the bullet would keep going through enemies until disappearing. The weapon would be really unique and fun to use if so.

I think the Eye of Reach should be able to penetrate soft targets and get collateral hits/kills as a trade off for having it’s ads animation speed slowed down so it cannot quickscope so fast.

This would make it so the sword lunge isn’t the only really effective way to kill a ton of skeletons, you could also force them into a line and snipe the lead skeleton and watch the skeletons behind it go down like dominos.

I could see a bullet from a sniper having the ability to penetrate soft targets being a pretty cool addition and by nerfing the EoR ads speed you are indirectly buffing the pistols which should be more favorable to use in close to medium range than the sniper.

The double barrel double shot is more designed to be used against players or enemies that take more than one shot to die.

I wouldn’t mind seeing some knock back added to the double shot though but less than the blunderbuss.

  • @savvystraw37257 the double barrel is designed to be a more close range gun which makes sense why it could be like the “Sword lunge of the guns”. It also needs a nice reason to choose over the old guns.

The sniper doesn’t need more, it’s already really good.

I would hit the EoR with an ads speed nerf yes because it out performs the pistols at all ranges but I still think the weapon that makes the most sense as far as collateral hits is the EoR not the double barrel pistol.

  • Im pretty sure the charge is not intended for your bog standard skeletons. From how they depicted it in their trailer it seemed like it was intended for pvp, but is also functional against tougher skeletons like captains and skeleton lords. But its a bit too clunky and slow to be worth while an any kind of pvp, its great for fighting brainless skeletons that walk in a strait line at you, but not much else at the moment sadly.
