I would love to see a row boat or skiff type option for the 4 man crew vessels. I think it would be a beautiful addition to the game.
Row Boat/ Skiff option
The ability to shoot yourself from the cannons makes the idea of a rowboat pretty obsolete I find. You can get onto land much faster than you could with a rowboat, which makes up for the slower return. Though I guess having a rowboat could be pretty fun for traversing narrow rivers and caves on the islands.
@darth-searic I don't know anything for sure, but there is a ton of row boats in the game art. It only makes sense that it becomes a thing in my opinion.
I have a feeling this is likely one of the things RARE is trying to keep secrete honestly.
@ultemas No, a rowboat is a much better option for cargo. Say you go onto an island and find two random chests, the chest you dig up, some powder kegs, and trap some chickens. You now have to ferry ALL of that back individually, through shark waters. A rowboat would save a considerable amount of time in those situations.
@daftpirate Totally. I would honestly prefer to scrap the cannon shooting and replace it with rowboats and swing ropes.
