    Just a quick, fun thing to try out. I already have an image in mind for my pirate and based off the randomly generated ones we have seen so far it is pretty likely I'll stumble upon the right one. Only 20 bucks if you end up wanting a minifig of your avatar. Here is how mine came out:

    Is there an option to have it painted? I tried looking on their website and don't see a paint option but when the app is loading they have painted figures.

    I would really want it painted, even if it cost extra :)

    EDIT: I found on their FAQ, you have to paint yourself :)

    @xcalypt0x Look around online for some Table Top Gamer groups. They will get you to someone that can paint it for a fee. I used to paint minis years ago. No desire to ever do it again!

    One of my friend's made something very similar to this called Desktop Hero. It doesn't have any piratey themes (yet... maybe we could request some from him :) ) and is definitely not as refined as hero forge, but it's completely free to use. Both were kick starter projects.

    It’s a website used to create your own miniatures. People use it for D&D, Warhammer, etc. It doesn’t specifically have SoT assets. Just a lot of fantasy/adventure type stuff! They will 3D print your design and mail it to you if you’d like :)
