Sea of Thieves™ - Ships, Legendary Ships and Ship Customization

What about other ship options? I am new and have not been able to find info on after release plans for Sea of Thieves. Will more ships be added?
Ideas:
A single cannon small ship for one crew. A rowboat with a cannon and a sail.
A two cannon ship with two sails and two full decks (not side-split like the sloop)
Different cannons would be cool too. Grape cannons, Long cannons and chan shot (if sails can be damaged).

The sloop with its single sail and two cannons is EASILY controlled by a single person.

I would like to see a mod-grade ship with two masts and four cannons. Near the same speed as the Galleon but not as robust.

Think of the small English ships that cut down the Spanish Galleons while only having their masts and sails damaged.

@shuhac for one thing, rowboats are insanely small, so adding a cannon on it would look incredibly out of place, secondly i don't think rowboats need a weapon on them as they would be attached to ships with weapons on them, rowboats are meant to get you from ship to shore, thats it.

Did you know they don't actually humiliate people to there face on that show. They wait until they have left, then record the shots like that.

@shuhac ah, thats not a rowboat that you're talking about, its a gun boat, agreed then, yea i hope they add something like that, although not before they add a 3 person boat somewhere between the sloop and galleon.

@dozer15 I would love upgrades for ship. even small amounts would give me something to work towards. If you only aply them to that ship it could be fun buffing yourself before battling.

All I want, as far as ship classes (and there is plenty of source material) are ships specifically designed for the number of crew. Yes the sloop is very doable solo, but I’d like a solo specific ship, 2 crew specific ship, and so on.

@y0ujerk I agree. I would like to see 1 - 8 player ships. Disadvantages for the larger ships is already apparent. Extending that difficulty could prove very entertaining.

I see your point though, it may not be realistic enough for a game that lets you shoot yourself out of a cannon.

How about like 10,000 gold and you can upgrade the look of your cannons? 20,000 for the next and so on. Obviously cant give you a tactical advantage because its "unfair"but it would be cool to like pay 10,000 and it unlocks 2 more cannons for your ship. Maybe being able to customize where your storage barrels are on the ship would be cool. Being able to fully redecor the interior so not every ship looks the same on the inside.

I think we will see something like this in the ship customization system. If not now, I would think in the future.

You wouldn't need a sail to move about hahaha, just fire the canon and literally take off, or sink maybe. That's what I'd call a 'Coup de burst'.... ; )

I think it would be a nice addition to the ships if they added a treasure room to the galleon and a treasure trunk for the swoop. Buying them as additions for your ship making it to where you could lock away your tresure, and who ever is the captin would hold the key till he died. This would make it a slight bit harder to steal treasure.
