Noticed a few grammar and spelling mistakes (i know, im a nerd)

  • So first things first I LOVE this game. It's been a long time since a pirate game has held my attention this long. However while playing earlier today the nerd in me noticed a few mistakes in this amazing game.

Ive tweeted this info to @SeaOfThieves but thought id share here as well. After all this is meant to be a testing phase right?

All of these are found in the shops, as i haven't checked the items or the content that isn't in since.... well i can't do that can I?

    First up:
    Wendys Shop

    Duplication of the word "be"
    Missing period
    missing apostrophe

    Travis' Shop

What unique trinkets DO you have. not To you have
I believe the 2nd one is meant to say you'VE not you'RE

    Charles' Shop

Missing period on both of these.

Now i know what you're thinking. These are PIRATES they don't care about these kinds of things. However if you look throughout their dialog they do follow these rules, these were simply missed. I hope this isn't being pedantic too much, but i really love the game and wanted to do my part!

  • @ssolidflip Nice spot! Totally agree, good grammar is important!

  • @musicmee Thanks! Also i must say it shows how great a game this is when the only complaint i can come up with is some spelling errors.

"I" should always be capitalized and dialog should be dialogue ;)

  • @naamar1 Hahaha I love it! Let us all encourage correct grammar and spelling. I will concede on the lowercase i; However, dialog vs dialogue is one of those American vs British english things.

  • Yee grammarghh is arghful! arrrhh!

  • Pirates are not known for good grammar. It just adds to the immersion.

  • If those of us with a large 4k tv could read those dialog screens, I might have noticed them too.

50” 4k tv from 15ft away, text is barely readable on npc dialogs.

  • @Uberkull That must indeed suck. I play on a 34in ultra-wide monitor so i dont get those issues.
