Customization of Ship Interiors

    I had this thought the other night:

    What if whenever you receive commendations for various things (Kill the Megalodon, 150,000 gold earned for factions, etc) you also receive some sort of plaque/decoration that you can place in the captain's cabin?

    Say you successfully kill the Kraken; in addition to receiving a title (which unfortunately isn't a thing), you also unlock a plaque of a severed tentacle you can mount on the walls of the cabin. Other types of decor could be added like a chair (a golden captains chair would be sweet), various rugs, fancier looking beds, and even chandeliers.

    I think it'd take ship customization to a whole other level.

    @gary-honda This is a wonderful idea and I'd like to see what kind of customization can be made! It would also be a lot more fun when you board another crew's ship. If you are sneaky enough, you may be able to see what you are up against and have time to bail if you happen to stumble across someone with a full captain's quarters worth of commendations!

    Also, new furniture would be much appreciated as well as new lanterns! I want to glow red in the night.

    @gary-honda This is a great idea. Half the fun of this game is getting gold to customize items and your ship. The more customization options, the better in my opinion

    @gary-honda I really like this idea and it is something which has come up before in various forms, I'd really love to be able to customise the Captain's cabin and, as you suggest, be able to hang trophies etc on the walls.
    One of the things mentioned in some very early articles was the feature where you would be able to take screenshots and place them in your ship as artwork. Not sure if or where this still lies in the long list of possible additions to the game, but it was exciting to read.

    @gary-honda I would love to be able to pick where we hang them as well. That would make the ship feel very unique to a single pirate. You might have the same achievements (plaques) as other pirates but they might be stationed around the boat in different areas.
