Cult of Calypso
The cult of Calypso is a sea of thieves community mainly discord based. It believes that Calypso, the goddess of the sea has yet to return in all her glory and unite all the factions and crews under one ruler. Therefore, the cult worships her with sacrifices and offerings. The Discord chat would also be a very useful tool to meet up with others from the guild and to play with players you already know to some degree online.
