Can we get a Scyrvy Bilge Rat Sword?
I have a new account I'm trying out for the new year an I'm trying to go a full Scurvy Blige Rat set but I notice in the weapon shop where they sell those they all but the sword. Just wondering if it'd be possible to add one to the game. I'm sure you guys at Rare are trying something out on that maybe, I figure I'm not the only one that has asked before.

We once had a Scurvy Bilge Rat Cutlass, but it was taken out of the game because it was too similar to the other Bilge Rat swords. Those who bought it before it was removed got to keep it.
Yep, it wasn't the only thing removed too. It's one of the things that disappointed me the most about the devs going into this game. They caved due to complaints, and didn't even fix the issue - they just avoided it entirely. What I found ironic is that they left certain items that still looked similar to others in the game, and the ones that were removed were actually different enough that IMO, you could easily see the difference (like on the hilt of the scurvy bilge rat sword, for example, or the different positioning of rust spots on the blade). Weirdly enough, the complaints did seem to stop, at least for the so-called look-alikes. I would've been fine if they had modified them and put them back in, but nope - we're stuck with incomplete sets forevermore it would seem.
@galactic-geek I found it a really strange move to take them out. They soon added more cosmetics anyway, so they might as well have just left them in.
@xix-zeno-xix I want the bilge rat figurehead but a DR version with a red glowing bulb or a PL version with a glowing blue.

Aye the second I heard they was being removed I rushed to those shops and bought everything I could!
@knifelife I wish I had been able to back then, but that was when I was a poor pirate, scraping by on castaways and disgraced skulls.
"Back in my day," it was a big deal to get that first set of sails/hull. Every purchase carried weight. I'd have bought those blasted cosmetics if I could have but sadly I didn't have the coin. It's an old sea dog's biggest regret!
The Scurvy Bilge Rat sword once existed, as well as a Ruffian Sea Dog figurehead and other neat variants.
But alas, people complained that they were just re-colors, and then they were removed from the game.
I think it was really dumb for people to complain about them being in the game, and equally as dumb that they got removed.
Because here we are, wanting more cosmetics and color variants of existing cosmetics...

Yeah everything was double the price of what it currently is, if I remember correctly.
I never managed to get the figure heads they removed unfortunately.
They where all like 150k each and I to was living on disgraced skulls 😂

I wholeheartedly agree.
What bothers me the most were the people who complained about it - if they didn't like it, they didn't have to buy it, but instead they decide to complain under some misunderstood notion that recolors were all we were going to get. They couldn't have been more wrong!
If you were 1 of those people btw, don't think for a second that you helped change things for the better, because you only made things worse. The teams at Rare have said that they have had a 2-year lead time on development, which means all of the cosmetics you are seeing right now were already essentially made before the game even released. You were getting your variety - you just didn't know it yet!
