What is the stupidest thing you've ever done as a pirate?

I'm just logging on just thinking of getting a bunch of loot and I see 3 brigs all part of the same alliance and then decided to stack up some kegs, sneak up on them and just let everything go crazy. For some unknown reason they thought someone in the alliance did this ,so I unintentionally started an alliance war. Stupid right?
