The spawn rates of these quests are very unfairly low and start to make the game a chore just to earn the comnendations for them rather than having decent spawn rates or being included as voyages. Please make these more frequent and obtainable

Agreed, I squeaked out my last fruit crates and gunpowder barrels the day before the voyage rework went live in fear of it getting hard, I never imaged it would be this bad. I'd personally love to see a merchant voyage focused on these crates and kegs. Say we have it be 4x of each crate and 4x kegs just so you would be able to cheese it with scuttling, of course the comms would need to get their numbers dialed up to reflect but even if it was 200+ fruit crate, getting +4 per voyage would make it far more of a satisfying grind that getting 1/50 for ever 20 bottles you find. Hope this gets some traction!
I totally agree. There have been semi regular threads regarding this issue (also Gifts!), Long grinds can be fine, but the harsh RNG combined with the long grind is a bit much. I think putting 1 or 2 of each delivery in the Merchant emissary quest would be good. The current merchant emissary quest isn't great, and this would really encourage people to do it perhaps.

Yes. They should be added back in as a possible task for the merchant contract voyages. It would bring these commendations into line with the animal ones in terms of achievability, and add some much-needed variety. I honestly think the lack of any real randomness, and hence variety / interest, both in terms of number of items and number of maps, is a big problem for all voyages in the rework, but the unfeasibility of these commendations in the new system adds insult to injury.
