Prizes of Ship Skins too expensive

    Ahoy Rare!

    So I'm grinding now since the release of the Game and Im now at 40k Gold. I think i can get 70k in about 2 Days. BUT! 70k Gold for just a sail, hull or the figurehead is way too expensive. I mean how should the normal Player who invests about 2 Hours daily into this Game ever get his favourite ship skin+hull+figurehead? Thats about 210k Gold -unreachable.
    Probably you Guys at Rare never thought about this.
    But if you set the prizes that high so people will buy these skins with the upcoming ingame Shop, you pobably forgot that people who bought this Game already paid 70€, 70$ or 50 pounds? Its a full prized Game where you have to Grind more Hours than its fun just to get one part of the ship skin.
    This is like a Free to Play Game where you have to grind super hard to get your favorite skin and not like a full prized Game.

    Please reconsider this for the next update. thanks for reading

    It's because the game has little content and so they've streched out what it does have. Sadly.

    The truth is, if you can't enjoy the beautiful scenery and sailing and (basic) pirate simulation then the game apparently doesn't have much to offer. That's my very much objective take on it anyway,

    It's not, you need to spend more days and thats fine, it should be something special.
    With two hours a day: Focus on becoming better with the guilds (best goldhorders for fast money) for better voyages, or raid skeleton forts.

    @demonhunter114 Well, to be fair. What most mean by content is different things to do. What they mean by expensive is that it forces them to the the content for a very long time. If it's expensive and has a lack of content, means it's a long grind on the same thing over and over.

    Just because it takes a long time doesn't mean there is a lot to do.

    But don't misjudge this, I quite enjoy the game so far :D

    @klon54 I do not agree with you Rare have this spot on. Why do people like you just want have everything just handed to you on a plate. I love the grind. Id rather grind knowing I worked my a*s off for a sail or a weapon than have it all within hours of playing the game. If everything is just given to you then whats the point ?

    Yeah, this is b******t. The game is nearly 24 hours old and somehow I still haven't unlocked the most prestigious items in the game yet.

    You just did your best to make them better, I am sure of it.

    Ship items are too expensive if you are playing solo. If you are teaming up one player can add a hull, another sails and a third one a figurehead. Since everybody gets the same money when collecting treasure it takes essentially 1/2 the time to get a fully customized ship as a team (since somebody still must pay 140.000 for the hull).

    Thw whole ecosystem of this game feels wrong. In beta prices were a lot cheaper. And yes, it is directly connected to the lack of actual cosmetic content and variety. I just bought all the haircuts and beards and will use my free DLC packs for character customization. I doubt I will spend money on anything else because a) there might be a price cut in the future, b) there might be more interesting content in the future and c) I don't even care how my ship looks.

    @shofficer I dont talk about the most prestigeous items in this game, I talk about the simple ship customizations for simple people. 70k is way to much. I mean if you want the most prestigeous shipitems you need 140k gold for each piece. Thats 420k Gold for a complete set. Therefore you probably need to Grind about 200hrs in this Game to unlock this for your own. And thats not right for a full prized Game.

    This is ok for a Free2Play Game.

    I don't see how the price of the game has any bearing on the progression system. Allowing players to complete long term goals in the first week would be bad game design, whether the game costs $100 or $10.

    I think the prices are fine the way they are. We got Sails, Hull and figurehead all last night. As a crew you can put the ship together with all of your pieces.

    Now we are just working on how we want our pirates to look.. Once that's done the reputation grind begins.

    Only problem is our final 3-4 hours nothing we turned in counted, no gold or rep so it killed some of our momentum we had going haha.

    What does one do with your only form of reward, gold... if you just buy the cosmetics with RL cash.

    Man they really have some work to do don't they.

    i mean, it's better than gta v online where you have to grind those trashy ceo missions about 5000 times just to be able to buy an upgrade for you car whilst getting shot at by those who have brought their way there
