Need a way to get more doubloons
- Reapers chests (25+ per)
- Ritual Skulls (10+ per)
- Ashen Tomes (10+ per)
- Ashen Key (5+ per)
- Ashen Collectors Chest (10+ per)
- Ashen pouches (in above collectors chests)
- Humble gift (5+ per)
- Generous gift (10+ per)
- Seasonal rewards
Especially as a reaper emissary getting doubloons is easy. And imho compared to what is obtainable from doubloons there is more then enough ways to obtain them
@callmebackdraft great list, and also now when you set sail during the first week of the new monthly update you get +50 doubloons just for setting sail (also +50k gold and a special voyage that could possibly give a doubloon item, it’s very random).
And OP, if you are running reaper emissary and you sell any doubloon items to the reapers you get the emissary bonus applied.

Sorry to hear about that. & 3000? I need evidence on this number. Ive seen maybe 200 on some items.

I can’t remember which, but they’re right, some items cost a few thousand, definitely not cheap.

For reaper chests you won't get the doubloon reward in an alliance when another crew turns it in (neither for emissary flags).
@zdonzai I literally have nothing to spend doubloons on, probably because i complete the free seasonal rewards every season, because those are the cosmetics that get released for doubloons.
I have 60k doubloons just gathering dust at this time.
And yes, like others have said, with alliances if they sell the reapers chests the doubloons do not get shared with the alliance
if you use the microsoft store version (either on xbox, gamepass or via the store, and yes streaming it also counts) you can use the microsoft rewards scheme as part of bimg, 1700 points gets you 150 dubloons, (its out of stock at time of writing this comment) you can earn them via doing certain tasks in the xbox app (phone) and in bing, if you have gamepass (which if you dont check with your phone provider to see if you get a free subscription to it) you can get more points for doing different tasks, its kinda crazy how easy it is when you get in the grove

as a note to OP and anyone else, this only applies if you log into high seas, however aside from the special voyage you just have to load in, once you have it you can log out again
