    I just read the tags for this thread: bucket & grog ... that sounds like a bad idea!

    But seriously: splashing water should at least sober someone up at least a little bit.

    Alternatively throw them in the sea, that could sober them a touch, i hear the sharks even have their own rehab program.

    That would add a little more hilarity to the Chest of a Thousand Grogs. One pirate stumbling along with it while his mates pelt him with water to keep him on a straight line.
