4 crew members sharing 1 cooking pan can get bottlenecked pretty quick. There's already space on the stove. Has there been any thought to adding another pan to compensate for the larger crew. Hungry pirates need something better than bananas.

Yes...on outposts are 2 (not sure if that's on every outpost the case)
This is done for balancing purposes. One of the features of the galleon is that, with a larger crew, it has to be better at managing supplies, since they can burn through them a lot faster. Stopping at islands to cook is 1 more reason to, well, stop at islands, and also makes them more vulnerable. Besides, 1 pirate cooking still means there are 3 other crew members still out there doing something else.
