Just win the “Capture a Code” competition. Not only do you get the obsidian sniper you can even win the obsidian capstan.

All you do is take a screenshot of an interesting and relevant event in the Sea of Thieves. Each week there is a different theme

It depends on your creativity. I won once with an almost impossible screenshot so I understand it might be difficult. Still, there is a winner each week and a winner won’t enter the competition a second time so it’s only a matter of time

Rare will mention you in chat if you win and the rewards are automatically loaded to your profile. You can even mention another player if you wish to give part of your prize to another person
