Do crates or rowboats despawn over time like chests or other loot?
Crates operate in the same way as chests and will eventually despawn, but there is a healthy amount of time before they do so, so if you log out and leave items for other pirates they'll likely last a good half hour or so although they will sink faster than other items if left in water. Rowboats also have a generous amount of time before despawning as they're larger objects.
Exclusive items for Ferry of the Damned event?
Nothing announced yet but it would be highly unusual for new items not to be released....
Cargo runs - reason for going with static values rather than varied?
Because there are so many levels of variance within the classes of cloth (for instance) having one set value for each level removes player doubt over things they might have done that affected the value other than causing the state to change

Parchment quests a little too frequent atm, inventory can be full before you leave the Outpost
Will we ever be able to cash in loot at a floating Seapost?
Main trading companies belong at bigger outposts for now, so never say never, and Seaposts will definitely grow and evolve but they're not fully fledged companies, just folks who packed up their rowboats with a few things and set sail
Multiple voyages? Will it ever be possible to put multiple voyages on the table, in the same way you can collect bottle voyages etc and have same destinations?
Not as simple as first appears because of the chapter system and multiple maps, difficult to know which voyage is being referred to when going through the different chapters - have thought about this although it's not right at the top of the list.
Has it ever been thought about having a ledger or journal that would keep track of voyages, adding other voyages to it as you go, but would track existing voyage progress?
Definitely something that has been thought about as have most things which are traditional to the pirate life, an interesting one and again not something with immediate plans to do
Was there any particular character or ideas used when creating the NPC's for cargo runs?
All brand new, names chosen to infer a little personality, wrote a brief background for each and then fleshed out by one of the writers. Penelope was first NPC, cobbled together from bits and pieces of old 'Dukes',
Journals found in the Devil's Roar give part of the story, suggestions or hints, but are they true or just ramblings of a lonely soul - Lord Pinch...? They're deliberately a little ambiguous with regard to Morrow's story.

Will cargo run values ever increase and will message in bottle quests every count towards commendations?
MiB quests are a lot shorter both length wise and distance from pickup, would be disproportionate to let them count towards voyage rewards. Value of cargo runs is something Rare will keep an eye on and tweak if necessary - data available to see how much pirates are earning over time etc but still early days. They're also a multitasking element and as such are additional income alongside regular voyage income. Will look at adding additional commendations specifically for cargo runs once the BRA is done with.

Will future content updates be a similar size as lead time might be similar to FS?
Depends on what the right features and content is for that time, how frequently they want to deliver, no set rules around size or quantity of content. They're going to continue to learn and grow and each content release will depend on the goals for the game at the time. Want to be flexible around what new content is added
Wanting to make the absolute best game they can and give players the best experience has never changed from day 1 and this won't change going forward, whether or not future content is announced
