Maiden voyage

  • I'll start off by saying that this voyage-tutorial is awesome. I've been playing since the Shrouded Spoils and I spent an hour or so exploring the island and finding every little secret. I really, really enjoyed myself and everything made me feel intrigued in this voyage.
I mean, I fought hundreds of megs, sunk ghost ships... Yet I felt involved in everything that was happening. GOOD JOB RARE!

There were 2 things kinda off:

-The position and size of the button in the main menu; I didn't even see it at first.
-When you are right at the end of the voyage, there's like an invisible wall you can notice by shooting some cannonballs. That's... disappointing, after having such a good experience.

  • Spoilers:

That ship that's trying hard to not hit you lol

Either way, think about it as a new player. Or even a kid.

    Yes, but repair tutorial...

  • @pithyrumble
It's also pretty hilarious how the meg doesn't actually chomp the ship, it kind of just like... snaps up into the air before hitting the ship.

I think you misunderstood. I'm not talking about their cannonballs missing you; I'm talking about your cannonballs crashing against that wall like 2 meters away.

I also think that allowing one cannon to hit you would be nice as a tutorial as well. " holes produce water that will sink your ship and get bigger depending on what hit you and how many times that section was destroyed ".
As a new player that would be a nice tip.

  • I just played the maiden voyage and boy was it good! I loved how immersive it was. The audio engineering in this game is SO good and even my wife was intrigued by it. Way-to-go RARE!
