Part of the fun of alliances is that they can be betrayed. It was in the release trailer for that feature.

Welcome to the sea of thieves. Im tired of the entitlement everyone has. I wish alliances didnt give any loot bonus whatsoever and was simply a communication tool between friends. But you are wanting it to be even more safe for you. I never join alliances and go out of my way to tricking other people to leave theirs because it was fine at the start but now people have a sense of entitlement about everything.
Backstabbing is one of the most pirate things we can do in this game. Get over yourself.

I would also like all weapons to be removed from game. Replace them with a cuddle animation.
Cannons should fire hugs and puppies.
The fire bombs should only spread love and understanding instead of fire.
Violence is not the answer. Pirates in real life were ALWAYS friendly and fair. Quite honorable people who fought fair. Well they didn't even fight. All arguments were settled with massive hug tournaments, the crew who loved the most won.Opinion: NO.
More clarification needed aswell. What if its 3 ship alliance?
My crew get killed and altho im friendly in this situation. I feel the need to defend myself we are getting betrayed! So i take out players and or a ship. Heck! This was the wrong ship! This was the friendly alliance ship.

Pirates in the past sailed the seas to look for people who's feelings were hurt and they would chase them to the ends of the earth to make sure they were okay. I third this bortrayal peneality
@nic727 The penalty for betrayal is death. Just make sure you're the one administering it.
