Possible return of Golden Legendary Set?

For year two I would like to see a legendary ghost set, some sort of Ghost variant including capstan/wheel/cannons for all those who reached Athena 10 before the 2nd anniversary.

The Golden Legendary Set should not return...

These items are specific rewards for people who became Pirate Legends within the first year of the game.

It's basically a commemoration of the first wave of Pirate Legends for the game's history, so it would suck and also be pretty nonsensical to re-introduce the rewards that were meant to be exclusive to these players.

The time investment into reaching Legend has reduced since the game's first anniversary, so the first year legends get to have 6 items to show for being dedicated players within the game's first and most formative year that it will ever see.

Do not re-release the Golden Legendary Items.

Here's my educated guess based on what they've done in the past with the blunderbuss.

The gold/silver accents on the tip would remain the same. As this is the Legendary theme that's been shared among the golden legendary skins so far.

With that in mind, I'd imagine the purple main portion of the blade would be swapped for either the more primary Yellow that we've seen on the golden blunderbuss, Then the hilt pommel and chain would more likely be silver variant with gold/purple accents.

@foxywiththemoxy as a pl10 pre year one player, can I not get these cosmetics? What if I really really like the colour? Can I ask Rare to give them to me?

@tre-oni I did get the gold set for year one. But I want the new colours too. I'll create a post asking Rare for them when the time comes. 🤪

You should already have them. If you are truly a yr1 PL you should have received them, no fuss, no muss.

@chronodusk I agree, the set should not return. The only complaint I had about it was that there was over a week gap between the last day to earn the set, and the release of anniversary update. This was when I reached PL. It just seems silly that I get to be a Pre-Anniversary update Legend, but not counted as a year one PL, even though it was a week difference and I only have time to play on the weekends. It just kinda makes me mad that I never got the cosmetics.

It shouldn't return, but it should be added to as the years roll on.

Nobody has an excuse not to be a Pirate Legend if you play this game often enough so at least moving forward nobody should really miss out.

Though just because you do miss out doesn't mean it should be brought back, if that were the case I'll have my free Cursed sails region sails, please :P

@captain-izaya I do agree. The set shouldn't return.

Well one part of me is thinking it should not return, the other part of me is thinking 'another uncompleted set in the game'. The last thing especially if there isn't going to be more golden PL ship and clothing cosmetics comming into the game. There's still ship livery sets uncompleted that are in the game since launch... I can only hope there's going to be nice things ahead with the second anniversary (and part of me is still hoping that golden PL of first anniversary will be with it).

My point is, there should be no rewards for 2nd year PL. 2nd year PL's have had it way to easy to achieve this status. You can do it in days. What sort of achievement is that??? Rare needs to stop pandering to the I want it now generation and give us meaningful content. Achieving PL in the second year is not an achievement. Rare are giving it away. I know this opinion will upset some but blimey! Pirate legend means nothing now. It's given to you on a plate.

I wouldn’t be mad about them giving the rest of the set to those of us that got the original peace’s.

Like “you hit PL in the first year and are still playing, even though we’re never going to add captaincy or anything for PLs” here you go. Lol

Or give other peace’s to those of us that hit PL 10 with in the second year.

Not the original stuff though, other items in the same Golden Legendary set. I’d just love to get the ship parts in the inverted colors regardless.

I have nothing against new PL for year 2. A nifty treat would be nice since I would qualify too now, but the year 1 rewards should not be awarded if you didn't make the cutoff. Some exclusives should be exclusive

Maybe add golden legendary cutlass, banjo, speaking trumpet and fishing rod? My idea is because they kinda have to complete the set and all the items above (except the cutlass, of course), were not original items (weren’t added till later updates)

Legendary and ghost cosmetics are horrific. Anyone that uses them needs shot.

I’m a PL10 year one, I got the set but never use it and couldn’t care in the slightest if they allow others to have it.

No self respecting pirate should be seen dead in that purple gear of the ghost gear, let’s alone put it all over the ship.

I don’t think the golden pl blunder and equipment should be given out to new pl’s as they were a gift to players who have reached the rank before the date, it’s somewhat of a sign of dedication and it should stay exclusive to the people that worked for it

Can I just say that your profile picture is creepy.
But anyways, as for Year 2 PL's, it depends really as some (such as myself) got PL during or a little bit after anniversary, mainly since our reps for the first three companies were near level 50 (which I finished through Ashen GH, OoS and MA Voyages).
Anyone way after makes sense I guess.

I also wanted it to return, i was by a day to late to recive thoes rewards last year. What i did is i steal thoes items from friends account with premission and rare didnt say anything about it when i asked them that i use others acounts, atleast i can use thoes rewards. but would be good if they actuely give it.
