Low fps poor performance.

    So, I currently run on mythical around 50-60fps. Overall, it just doesn't seem to be running particularly great. I am getting mild screen tears and random drops in fps. gpu and cpu do not go over 50% usage. I see online that people with similar or weaker builds are getting much better performance, often easily reaching 100+fps. I have v-sync off and no frame cap.
    My build is
    Rtx GeForce 2070 super
    Ryzen 5 3600
    16 gb 3200 MHz memory.
    I have updated drivers, and did a clean re install. I have high performance settings in Nvidia control panel. Using a 144hz monitor. Temperatures are fine. Neither gpu or cpu are going over 60°c
    Does anyone have suggestions?

    @immutablebat44 lol i run my game on a default hp work computer on the lowest possible settings with a lock at 20fps and 3x buffering. if your rig isnt working then i cannot help lol. i would suggest maybe turning down the graphical settings?

    Xbox is having problems as well. Pretty frequent short freezes and drastic FPS drops when doing certain actions like shooting. Had a couple times where jump in a rowboat and the entire island next to me disappeared. The FPS drops are relentless though.

    @fllw3rb0y should be able to easily run at Max settings 100+fps with this build.
    Lowering settings did not increase fps, it just decreased my gpu usage more

    I have the same problem. Increasing the resolution will increase the gpu usage, but obviously won’t increase frame rate either. If I run sea of thieves at 1080p I’m only at around 40% usage on max settings.

    Dude deal with it. I'm playing 1920x900 with all low graphics like extremely low. Run around 90-120 fps with these specs

    GPU: 750 Ti
    CPU: i5 4660
    RAM: 16GB

    double check your components and drivers but i doubt thats the issue have you tried leaving the outpost and which outpost was it? i never lag but as soon as im on certain outposts like ancient or plunder i do get frame drops this is a game side issue i know other people has had this issue aswell

    @jollyolsteamed all drivers are updated, i also tried running older versions. Same performance regardless of where i am in the game, unfortunately.
