Maiden Voyage

    I believe it would be beneficial if in the maiden voyage there was an extra text narration explaining the megladon and the kraken. just like a sentence saying “ when inky the water turns, near a kraken churns. In glowing green waters, the megladon hunts marauders.” Something like that just to help new players know about kraken.

    The kraken and megalodon literally show up during the Maiden Voyage. I don't think it gets any more instructional than that.

    Oh how this thread makes me miss the old loading screens with the rhyming riddles that clued you in on how to play... Why ever did they remove those and stop doing that? They were great for novice pirates and really added to the atmosphere of the game.

    The first time in the game where the water turned dark and the Kraken spawned was a exciting time for me. I heard stories of the Kraken but didn't know about it then out of no where it spawns and me and my crew were freaking out screaming KRAKEN KRAKEN!!! I think the maiden voyage is nice but I really liked this game for letting players learn and experience things on their own. You don't get that surprise anymore with tutorials nowadays telling you everything or showing you everything. I like being surprised I guess. It's like someone telling you that your friends are planning a surprise bday party. Takes all the fun out of being surprised :(
