I know everyone has had problems or know someone who's had a problem with the Skeleton Fleets, and its not just PvP. My friends and I have had a few problems with skeleton fleets and their loot. When we took a ship or 2 down, it was hard to find the loot without the new ships spawning and attacking. We lost track of the loot and only got what the last ship dropped. All the other loot had sunk.
So what I believe should fix it is when the skeleton ship gets sunk, a row boat floats up to the surface with all the treasure, but not have the row boat be floating for more then 15 minutes. This would fix loot sinking and people not being able to locate their earnings.
Skeleton Fleets Loot Drops
This issue of loot coming up from skeleton ships is widespread. When the loot does come up, you can either stop and snatch it (and take damage) or you can leave it and come back (before you do so it will sink). Your solution of rowboats dropping is a little bit ridiculous, because it would be a very OP way to farm resources (not to mention, there would be tons of rowboats, which would lag the server badly). I think a better solution to this is none of the ships (except the “boss” ship) should drop loot. Ofc, this means it would drop more loot than it does now. This may also seem weird, but think about it. If you get halfway through a Kraken, Skelly fort, or PvP battle, you get nothing. You have to finish. This would solve an issue without making a new one.
Your own rowboat solves most of this, one person rows their little heart out picking up loot, meanwhile, the rest of the crew fights. Worst case scenario, leave the rowboat floating with loot so the guy can mermaid back to assist the main crew. Otherwise, you also have the harpoons to pick up loot quicker.
In all honesty, these ships aren't that much of a threat that you can't just idle in one spot looting up loot. If you still wish to fight, just lift up sails and rotate in place while one person loots. I don't really see a need to fix anything, we have the tools now to solve this isssue. All you need is a little skill or a bit of practice to get there.
Rocks are always near fleet battles. Lure the ships into the rocks by sailing into them yourself. Once they're stuck, sink them and collect the loot. Another ship wave won't spawn as long as your ship stays close to the rocks, providing ample time to collect the loot. Rinse and repeat for each wave. Do it right, and you can finish a fleet battle in 10 minutes with ALL of the loot. 😁
@jusey1z it is simply not true that you have to be near rocks to get all the loot. It is entirely possible to anchore yourself next to where you sank a skeleton ship and then recover the loot with the harpoon or bu sending someone overboard to get it. Is it risky? Of course. But that's tje whole point....if you want more reward you have to take the risks.
