So heres the idea: In the armoury if you equip two guns you will dual wield, and you can equip two swords to dual wield then. You can also hold a pistol and small item or a sword and a small item, why have an empty hand or full hands for an item you could carry in one?
Another idea is formation callouts, where in a third tab while sailing you can order stuff like ‘Enemy's on port!’ Or ‘Enemy's on starboard!’ You could also say ‘Escorting the ship!’ Or ‘Being escorted!’ Where whilst being escorted you would have your harpoons in the back of the other ship while they would lead you. And lastly for an idea Quick docking. In which 2 players can use the anchor and wheel when near a dock to glide into it, or you could have two harpoons on the back of the ship which could allow for harpooning into an area and docking that way.
