Shift Key not working consitently

    Hi everyone,
    Recently while trying to play sea of thieves on the PC I have had the problem where my shift key when playing doesn't work consistently. I have sprint bound to Left Shift, and when I try to run it takes a couple tries for the game to actually start running. I have tried typing in game and the shift key works fine there, but when I am actually playing is when it becomes funky. I have tried closing out of any other apps that might effect it and that didnt do anything. When playing other games the shift key works just fine. I am not sure what is happening and could really use some help unsure if anyone has had this problem before or not.

    I also want to add that I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SoT and I have tried changing the usb port that my keyboard is plugged into.

    Are you holding down shift before holding W? I don't really pay attention to how I start sprinting but I think you have to hold/press shift after you're holding W.
