A Steam Friend gets the game...how do I invite them to sail with me?

    I haven't crewed with anyone yet (I had heard that solo slooping was basically "Hard Mode" so I decided to learn how to play that way) and a friend is planning to get the game. We're steam friends. Does the game recognize that, and can I form the crew in the loading screen somehow, or do we have to just play until we randomly meet each other and use the "Friends" emote?

    @redwoodtheelf Ahoy matey!

    Your friend can use the Xbox Game Bar (WIN + G), Xbox App or Xbox Console Companion App to add your Gamertag as a friend.

    You will then be able to send each other game invites in a few different ways, but they can be in-game or via the apps listed above.

    @musicmee So the game doesn't recognize the Steam Friends list?

    @redwoodtheelf Unfortunately, for now, the steps I listed above are still necessary to invite to game.

    When someone gets the game on steam he has to create microsoft account to connect to the servers. The game doesn't recognize that you are friends on steam but you can friend him on Microsoft and you can both play togethrr.
