So, I've returned after not playing for a while (last time I played was before emissaries). I'm wondering what you're supposed to do with your own emissary flag if you recover it after sinking...?
I sold it to the reaper's dude, but apparently that's not "good." Is there a way to raise the emissary flag after recovering it? If not there should be!! Otherwise, what am I supposed to do with it?

Throw it in the ocean or sell it to the reaper so someone else can't.
I used to think that they should have a way to reattach it, but have changed my view. You lost it once and the penalty was losing the multiplier. I don't think that should be regained just by getting the flag back, and there are probably multiple ways to exploit this system - like scuttling your own ship to hide the flag for retrieval later.

No i'm pretty sure it just 1 gold regardless of grade.
I did get 1 gold for selling it to the reapers. A little popup said "Turning in your own emissary flag is frowned upon" or something like that.
I think there should be a way to sell your own recovered flag and get some gold, even if it's not as much as you get for voting to take down the emissary flag. And I do see how being able to put it back up could be exploited.
@enf0rcer Perhaps it was changed, but you used to get 1 gold per grade.... maybe only for reaper flags.

It could have been. They make alot of changes but as it currently stands it just one gold its meant to discorage the behaviour of returning ones own flag.
