  • I had recently watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and seen Bill Clinton on tv.... Slick Willy... Wonka and thus i was named

  • Was the name of my Dwarf in WoW.

When X360 came out and online console gaming became prevalent it seemed like a good idea to carry it over to stay connected with everyone.

  • "Ghost Fire" was the name of a pirate ship in a book i read in the early 90s. 1981 is hopefully self-explanatory (EDIT: The year i was born).

  • BloodyBill was taken 😄

  • I am from Germany. Plinde is slang in my circle of friends for these cozy Sweatpants you wear when hanging around or gaming. Well I am the Lord of chilling/loitering 😎

  • wolfman pun but it makes people in the game think of south park so I moonlight as manbearpig's better looking and more charismatic creature cousin

  • I grew up when Numetal got really big and everyone had gauges and wore JNCO's. A bit of teenage Angst and an Xbox live account and my tag was created. I keep it so I can hear everyone's original jokes of "I promise I won't betray you..hahahahhaha!" a million times. Plus I've had xbox live since it was released. It'd be a shame to change the tag.

  • Mine was in reference to One Eyed Willy from Goonies

  • mine is a phone number

  • Mine comes ftom a Boss Hog saying in the show "Dukes of Hazzard".

  • I can't tell you, I'll get in trouble, but my first name is Anthony... it's also a play on words.

  • It's a very old account and it's just my initials cuz I'm og like that

  • Before time began, I was known as WireFrame because I liked those kinds of graphics, which were popular back then. I even tried Santa's Little Helper, a nod to the dog from The Simpsons, but realized it was too long for most services.

Many years ago (14 to be exact), when I 1st joined XBL, I wanted a name that was unique, awesome, and memorable. Looking around my bedroom at the time for ideas, my eyes fell upon the book title of 1 of the funniest stories I have ever read - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Galaxy is a great word I said to myself; I'll use that! But Galaxy what? I would need something bada--! That's it, Galaxy Bada--!

Over a year later, a random gamer asked me if I liked my gamertag. Moments later, I received an Xbox Live message forcing me to change my gamertag since it violated the CoC. At that time, I was working as a manager, so I changed it to Galaxy Boss. That didn't even last a week before I decided I hated it. I wanted it to be grammatically correct, and I hated the boss in the name. Thinking to myself, I decided that I would be a self-professed geek, and not just any geek - the biggest geek of them all!

    ...and Galactic Geek was born.

With the exception of a small stint where I was briefly known as Yoda Man - a nickname given to me by my sister-in-law's roller-derby team due to my love of Star Wars, as well as a wonderful play on words, it's stuck pretty much ever since.

    GG, from GG! 😁👍

I get a message from Playstation about once a month saying my name includes in appropriate language. I use the same name there as I do here.

I just ignore it. Nothing happens...at first I didn't understand what the hell they were talking about and then I was like "Ohhhhh"....

  • @glannigan I'm sorry to say, but I don't follow. What is wrong with your name? Feel free to PM me if it's really as sensitive as Sony might lead you to believe.

  • @glannigan, i think I got it 😅

  • Ask your mother :]

  • I use Genuine Heather when my preferred name is already taken, or when I want a degree of anonymity. I get a bit indignant when I find my name's been taken. Genuine Heather is my way of asserting the fact that I'm the one and only true Heather. All the rest are imitations. 😉

  • @closinghare208 Favourite character from my favourite TV show.
