Gilded Voyage - Not Informative Enough

    I bought a Gilded Voyage because I thought it was a part of the event, just like the one we had before.
    Grab a voyage and do the event, etc

    So I threw the mission down on the table and were checking the ingame store before we left.
    After a couple minutes a ship came and attacked us so we said, "Oh well" and left to join a new lobby without doing a single part of the Gilded Voyage.

    When I joined into a new lobby, I realized "Oh I only get one?"

    Then my buddy accidently bought the wrong voyage, cause I told him to get the "Pirate Legend one" not realizing they all had "Pirate Legend" in the title.
    So now we can't get another one.

    There was no warning when I bought the voyage "Hey this is your only one"
    Sure there was a warning on the side, however I never realized what that symbol was, with the parrot and the "I", until now, and I've played this game for 3 years now.

    Would be nice to get a different voyage if something happens where the voyage isn't even started yet was used or abandoned.

    This is also my first time playing during Christmas season since the games launch.

    Go to the Sea Of Thieves support section, report it, and request if you can get another gilded quest.

    This is not the first time this has happened (as this happened last year and the year before that too), and Rare has been cool inough the give people that messed up another quest.

    I still feel there should be more warning when buying the voyage.
    Very confusing considering the previous event.

    It’s sadly clearly descriptive in the details of the voyage. Saying GH, OOS, MA and even Legends. You just didn’t take the time to read and jumped into it.
    Even the YouTube videos, Twitter tells you of the one time purchase voyages.

    Also sadly. Since you used yours and completed/lost it to another pirate. You won’t be able to get another. But your friend maybe able to.
    But things like “accidentally purchased” vs “server crashed” depends on it.

    This more on you for jumping the gun instead of failure to give you big text saying “don’t buy unless your sure”.

    @ultimate-powa you say you play this game for 3 years now? So you didn't get the gilded voyages the last 2 years? Sorry you messed that up, better luck next year...

    U played 3 years and now didn't know about the limitations of gilded voyages? This is the 4th or 5th time they show up in game with the same limitation as the past 3 years.

    I understand your remark that Rare could add a bit more info on this for newer players. But u sir should n could have known as a 3 year exp vet.

    I witnessed a lot of this sort of thing on the seas last night.

    We sailed a sloop for around 5 hours with the grade V reapers mark hoisted for almost all of it, and couldn't believe the amount of players doing their Guilded quests and also running their emissary flags also..
    Needless to say, it turned into a duck hunt. Never had such a great session collecting flags! (Not one for tucking and waiting for final results)
    Players are clearly not really paying attention, because if i saw a level 5 reaper roaming about, i certainly wouldn't be laying down a guilded voyage and running an emissary too.
    Don't be in such a rush to do anything new, always read what there is to read about what your buying or doing.. The information is there, you just never looked.

    There's always next year!

    Ps: Save your guilded voyages for double gold/xp events. It's worth it!

    What is this like Gilded number 4 or 5? I've got at least 3 sitting in my inventory, might need to hoard another. Back on topic though, Gilded voyages have always been one and done.

    Yeah, I know how you feel. I started playing this spring so I didn’t know how gilded voyages worked. I thought we got all of them so I decided I’d do the merchant one first. Once I finished I went to do another one and realized I only got one. I was upset to say the least but now I’ll remember that for the future

    He never says he completed it, only that a ship came along a few minutes after he started it. I'm guessing Rare will probably be pretty lenient with it in this situation based on some of the comments above.
