Capture Skeletons and sell to OOS

  • The order of souls value the memories of the cursed pirates.

    However being completely dead they can't talk back.

    The order of souls are searching for something. They need to interrogate them about details they see from their memories.

    Now that the Lore part is explained what would this mean for gameplay?

    Think of it like a merchant voyage where you get animals into cages.

    There is a big gibbet-like cage you can grab. Pick it up (limits your visibility) and throw it on the skeleton.

    Take the skelly aboard your ship and sell to the order of souls.

    Or... Open the gibbet and release the skeleton.

    Keep a few on your ship or bring one with you and release them and cause chaos on ships or at Outposts.
    (This part is just for fun)

    Voyages may require specific Skeletons to capture such as ashen Skeletons, skeleton captains aboard ships (which will be tricky as u gotta board) and all other types of skellies too.

    Even capture a shadow skeleton by shining with light and then capture it in gibbet cage. Be sure to keep the cage near a light source on your ship to avoid it freeing itself.

    Overall it would make you feel like a bounty hunter and not an outright skeleton assassin.

    If you don't want to sell them you could have them around for fun.
    Perhaps you fancy a little spar? Release it and have a deckside fight.

    Overrun an outpost for a laugh or release a few on an unsuspecting parked ship.

  • Honestly this does seem like a fun idea. I like it a lot. The only downside is that it would probably take a good amount of time to develop. How did you come up with this idea? Is seems suspiciously creative and well thought out.

  • Well according to the game lore, you dont really need the whole skeleton, just the scull to gain information from the skeletons. Not sure what new things this would add to the game really...

    It mainly came from seeing the reaper skeleton at the outpost.
    Thought it would be cool to capture and release them at the outpost and cause a bit chaos. Haha

    It just gives you something to play around with.

    It doesn't always need to revolve around loot and rep.

    I think it would be fun.

  • @ghostfire1981 Maybe certain skeletons top tier ones like mini boss level, find a way to prevent such tactics by the order of souls since they know it could be done with just the skull, so they implant something in them preventing their mind to be read. so this way you have to capture them and talk to them.

    Idk just an idea around the lore aspect.

  • So kind like the Vault voyages, you could choose whether to use the skeletons to your advantage, or to cash them in.

    Great idea for fun, but should only be able to capture targeted skeletons, or it would be too good.

    Just one question: how much would they be worth? Maybe it combines killing a few waves then getting a captain, that would make it more valuable.

    Good idea, I like the creativity!
