Okay, so I get it that the pirates you can select from are randomly generated and such but in order to find a female pirate to play that doesn't look like Igor, the H unchback, or as if they've been hit in the face with a frying pan multiple times you have to generate new pirates constantly. Even then the female pirates are "meh." Are they working on adding new pirates or perhaps a pirate customization itself that you can craft your own pirate?

Probably not, as the generator has been the same for over 3 years now.
@capn-morgan2237 You may not get whatever ideal character you are looking for, but through triggering the random generation you may be able to get close. After that, go into the Clothing shop to purchase clothing and vanity items which you’ll be able to mix-and-match and bring your character even closer to what you are looking for.
As noted several times, you don’t really see your character unless you emote. Additionally, the more you play the game, the more attached you’ll become to your character, imperfections and all. I sail with a female who has a female character, but she wasn’t happy with the missing teeth her character had. She didn’t notice the teeth during the character generator. So, she added a big mustache to hide the teeth. She’s left her character that way ever since and she said she’d never change that look because she’s grown very attached to it.
Pirate women... They stand ,just like the men, in the salty winds , storms and rains . Not exactly a benefit for a skin. Go with Pirate women into a Tavern and they drink and fight just as much as men, once again beautycontests aren't won with broken noses and cut eyebrows...
But ... i have seen beautiful drawn ladies in the generator ... Yes , they aren't numerous , but if you roll for half an hour then you must have found at least 4 or something...
On the other hand , Pirate women that look like Princesses ... Are they great fighters ? No , give us fighters with scars , cuts and half healed broken noses , with those we will rule the Seas !!!! YeeeeHaaaa!!
