Time to remove disgustingly racist adventure voice chat

    So Rare removed arena coms due to toxicity in voice chat and I think it is time they remove it all together.... I play with a good team and during the last week literally every time we sunk someone we got called racial slurs... We started reporting at first but now it's getting too much to keep reporting.... Adventure people who lose their loot are 100000x more toxic/racist than anything I ever heard on arena coms... I've been told to go kill myself multiple times and then getting called toxic for sinking people?

    Arena wasn't the problem, the problem is with rare's toxic player base....

    U know you can mute them, mate. Voice chat being removed would take away some major opportunities for player interaction. Any games with pvp will have toxic players and if you can't deal with them then that's your problem

    Arena lost its voice because it was 3% of the activity and 50% of the drama

    Pvpers are often passive aggressive and unpleasant while robbing
    Pvers are often emotional and react harshly when getting robbed

    Ignore each other or just let words be words and not make a big deal out of it and let the rest of us enjoy our comms

    If people are hurling slurs and seriously attacking people personally then record it and report it if that's your thing. Don't feed into it. When two sides are both throwing nonsense at each other it escalates the situation and makes it worse for everyone around.

    Deescalate the situation by using the powerful tools we have to mute/block/ignore people.

    The problem wasn't that Arena was more or less toxic than Adventure, the problem was that the volume of reports it was generating (thus the amount of Rare resources it was monopolizing) was disproportionate comparing to the size of the playerbase.

    Arena players weren't worth keeping the voice chat on, Adventure players are. That's all. ^^'

    When i read the word "playerbase" or " playercommunity" i always wonder what the true defenition of both words are...

    Let me give an example ... i played Day Z , one time for half an hour . i wondered in that landscape , saw a few zombies that i took down then saw a human player to whom i introduced myself as a new player who had totally no knowledge of what i was doing ... The result , as mostly to be expected , a bullet in my head ... Now , was i part of the playerbase ? An old guy that totally played around 30 minutes and if i would have become angry for being shot without defending myself , would this other player come to their Forum to call me and the " whole" playerbase toxic , racist or whatever name ?...

    You must have seen posts of all kind in here , and sure many , very many are demands , complaints and the occasional try to start a riot , but ... There are also a lot of Passionate Players who, when not being met with cannonballs and slurs will help new players as this game has grown in content during the years ... Are they toxic too? All i want to say is , to be a bit more careful when using words as the " playerbase " or " community" as it is not always clear to me if a Passionate Player is the same as a 1 or several "tryout" kind of players...

    @clumsy-george I believe that his problem is less about the playerbase than it is about the fact that rare removed the voice chat in Arena. ;)

    If works damage you this much there is an option in your settings that does everything you are asking for without having to ruin everyone else's interactions.

    Some have even threaten to report my crew for saying these things, as they are Toxic words?

    @pvekilla420 So you want to mute chat completely because YOU got offended?

    How about YOU mute chat and those who actually wants to interact will continue to have fun?

    The sheer smelly entitlement......
    With a click of the button you can go to your safe space or whatever you are looking for but no, you are asking to ruin it for others because out of millions of players couple of them loves to swear.

    @pvekilla420 We usually have a group chat on xbox and don't hear what anyone in game is saying. Sometimes I use discord as well. I would suggest these options for you. I personally have not encountered any verbal abuse except one time some guy called me an idiot for attacking his galleon in my solo sloop lol.

    But if you're like me, you consider that part of the reward. 🏴‍☠️

    Also, just because they handled the Arena toxicity issue poorly doesn't mean they should also handle Adventure toxicity poorly.

    @pvekilla420 If voice chat bothers you that much just mute. Players like myself often use voice chat to gauge if a player or players nearby are cool or not, I dont want to get into a fight unless I have to.

    GUYs, I've been playing SPORT and the Insider program since the beginning of 2021, today was the first time my crew and I received a huge shower of hate and racist words from these players.

    I ask... WHY? This was supposed to be a friendly game (with lots of cool and healthy fights), not become a CS GO 2.0 of hate.
