On a quest what is the best way to find the island you need to go to?

Just quickly scanning the map table on your ship? Each island is a unique shape which you should learn over time :D
Early on I started naming some of them to remember.
Black water enclave - Hedgehog
Shiver Retreat - Seahorse
Isle of lost words - Starship Enterprise
Cutlass Cay - Boomerang
Chicken Isle - Chicken drumstick
Shark Tooth Key - Crossbow
Picaroon Palms - Rubber ducky
Cresent Isle - Toothed Pac-Man looking East
Crooks Hollow - Toothed Pac-Man looking West

If you know the name of the island but not it's location: http://surveyorpete.fun/Explore/Index
if you know how it looks like, but you don't know it's name : http://surveyorpete.fun/Tools/WhatIsland
If the island is on a red glowing piece of paper, it's in The Roar
Over time you'll get better at getting these.

Isle of Lost Words looks like a Halo Needler though I thought more than the Enterprise!
