RARE "store"

  • I get that 30+ tee shirts are cheap and profitable cash-ins, but it'd be really cool to have more old school actual loot. Paintable ship models, the different chests, coins, emassary flags, etc. People would pay for real world trinkets too, beyond the digital stuff or tee-shirts. Without having to go to Etsy or similar. The loot crate skeleton ship in a bottle? Going for 250-300 on eBay. Yeah, let that sink in.

  • Most of my video game merchandise is in the form of T-shirts. But I can understand people want more options.

  • @retroraccoon741 I prefer this

  • It’s probably cost prohibitive but man I would shell out hard cash for custom galleon ship models with whatever sail and livery set you use in game.
If they could get that up and running… damn. Name your price Rare.

Right. If they could get a deal going with one of the good wood model kit companies for sloop, brig, gally, skellie versions, ghost ships. They could slap a $100 tag on it and make bank plus make the fan base extremely happy. And you have cool ship model to display on a table, mantle etc. You could print and do your own custom sails, hull colors etc. Just sell the base model ships and let the community customize them.

  • They could even sell figures, barrels, loot toys. I'm seriously confused as to why this isn't a thing. Hard merchandise has sadly gone to the wayside and been replaced with micro transactions in modern times. A few bobbleheads or POPs just don't cut it. Anything out there is too cartoony imo

  • @retroraccoon741 I think the only issue is, you’re looking at a 300-400 price tag. To make it custom, who knows how much.

And there are silly people like me who are ready to pay.

    They’d still sell out fast.

Hahah, my 4YO would love to lose a dozen pieces before I can even complete it!!

  • @greengrimz I totally get that. My wife got me that for my birthday, we gave our 4 yo a sep kit to keep her occupied while I built the ship.

Yeah the problem is he don't want to do something else and separate. He JUST HAS TO mess with whatever I'm doing! My precious little devil! Ahahah!

On top of that, we also have a cat and a dog, so whatever I start doing on my own, there's all kinds of hands and paws reaching out infront of me, trying to pick up stuff before I do.
