Saving a character's costume in the sea of thieves

  • I suggest adding the ability to save the current appearance of the character in the costumes section. That is, if you dressed your character beautifully, but for some reason you need to change clothes, you could save and somehow name the character's appearance. And if you want to change back into that look, you could choose the costume that you saved before in the "costumes" section.
I think this feature would really save the lives of many players. WELL, because IT'S SO CONVENIENT!

  • This suggestion comes up once or twice a week. I’d like to see it too. So far they’ve chosen not to implement it. Until costumes came out I assumed it was to keep the immersion. Thumbs up from me.

  • Yessss!

As @ghostpaw said this suggestion comes up every week, so hopefully that illustrates to Rare just how much of a glaring oversight not including this feature was.

I mean seriously, unless Rare depends on average minutes played and they're trying to squeeze out every last second they can, there's no reason not to give players this ability. Same goes for ship cosmetics.

  • @thagoochiestman lol who hurt you? (kidding)

  • It's one of those ideas that comes up so often, and makes sense, that I would find it hard to believe it's not written on a whiteboard or similar at Rare. They're probably still working out how to best introduce it in a way that suits the game.

  • I will always upvote requests to save custom outfits.

  • The argument against this is always the same

"equipping items of clothing bit by bit means you are below deck longer, and as such, more vulnerable to attackers"

Guessing that's why it hasn't been implemented and maybe never will be.

  • @paparug420 That is the first I have heard that. That argument doesn’t hold up now that we have costumes. My guess is there may be a practical reason it hasn’t happened yet rather than a philosophical one.
