Sunken Curse Issue

    @Rare-Employee @BLU3S 65 Hey guys first off I would like to say I love the new Sunken Curse. I worked countless hours and put in hard work to finally get it last night. But here is the issue I see with it. So a player who has NOT meet the requirments which is to collect all the journels can just join a friends crew who has already meet the requirments and get the curse for free with out having to work at it. I find this a bit unfair to those of us that had to meet the commadaton requirements to obtain this.

    I feel there needs to be a patch so those players who have NOT meet the requirments can NOT be allowed to get the new curse until the requirments have been meet. And the commadation requirments is to find all the journals. It would be a very easy patch to do. So the players who have NOT gotten all the journels can still tag along and do the voyage but will NOT be granted the curse until the requirments of finding all the journels have been meet.

    should have tied the curse to all of the commendations for the new content imo

    none of it's too ridiculously grindy and people running around with the new content curse day one seems overly casual to me and counterproductive for seasonal longevity

    Initiative to complete commendations.

    I too am enjoying the sunken kingdom. I love being able to explore under the sea.

    The scenery is just beautiful with all the bright corals and starfish and underwater beauties.

    I have been waiting for this in the game and have really been enjoying it.

    My only issue is your ship is WAY to vunerable.

    Yes I agree to everything you have mentioned. I do think the devs shoudl change thr requirments to earn the curse. Now how ever those who already have can keep it.

    This falls under how players can freely lvl up Athena with PL friends.

    Darn shame but it already can’t be fixed.

    So on day one one of my friends got all the journals and we went through and got the curse. It actually encouraged me to go get all the Journals so I could play it forward and do the same. You know helping people out. I've been giving these voyages out on LFGs and in game all weekend. I think this is a feature not a work around from Rare to encourage players to help each other out like doing an Athena voyage.

    If they do what you say then there's a bunch of other quests in question as well. You see by your standards someone that goes through a voyage that they can't get themselves and were playing with someone that can should not get the reward at the end. See where I'm going with this?

    You can do an Athena but don't get any rep from the chest. Because you not a legend and don't have 50 in three factions.

    There are some emissary voyages that you can't get rep from the rewards because your brand new and haven't gotten to a certain level.

    Doing the shores of gold voyage before completing the first six means the skull you get after the long quest does not count.

    I'm sure there are other examples as well.

    Players have been throwing down or doing voyages with players that have less achievements since the first legend got the first athena.

    I know a lot of players will still get a the Journals just for the commendation or because they tell a really good piece of lore.

    I do understand your frustration. Maybe knowing that it takes some time to do the quest will help you. Or you can just help someone out with it since you been through it already?

    If it makes you feel better, they made the same "mistake" with Glitterbeard.

    Not sure if it's intended to be that way or if it's a silly oversight on their end.

    I like that it’s like this. My crew just aren’t that interested in finding journals. They play the game a lot and yet still don’t have a single curse. Now I can actually help them get one.

    @sweetsandman At least you don’t get the cannon flare without doing the journals as well. It may not be the trophy piece of the set, but it’s still something. And I agree they should tie the curse to all the commendations.

    @xohmwrecker dude, countless hours? hard work? it takes less than 10 hours to complete. likely it takes less than 5. And it wasn't hard.

    @xohmwrecker ahoy matey, your idea doesn't really lead to more pirates wanting to play though does it?

    I can now load the quest and get new pirates interested, or I can say "hey fellow pirate - go find those 30 books first across the map and then we'll talk"

    I got my curse day one because a crew-mate had already found all the books. I now have them all, but it seems a bit cheap to say that even though I found all three keys with them, I shouldn't have had the curse because I hadn't ground out the books yet!
    I put my work in during those three shrines thanks!

    @wesker78i I absolutely agree as a solo slooper the amount of times I have returned to the surface to se my ship sunk over and over again and after finally earning the curse just to be told that it's not a big accomplishment because fricken crew biggy backing to get it for free without have to find the journals is very frustrating I've been told by friends they wanted to do the voyage because I have it I said hell no you should go through the same hell I had to go through.
