Pirate Log

  • I think it would be a good idea to be able to view your progress from the main menu screen, where you can view it before you load into a game,
It’s quite frustrating to have to load a game just to check your progress only to be Lazybearded while doing so,
It would be gratefully appreciated by a wide community if you would consider this in the future. Thankyou

  • You spend a whole 10+ minutes looking at stats!? You must be so bored! 😅

  • You can check those things without having to open the game at all. You can keep up to date on your progress right here on the website.

  • You'll eventually commit all the commendations to your memory.

  • @galactic-geek people can do what they want with their time. No need to poke fun at them for it.

  • Admittedly, I think this would be a fine addition. Being able to review the Season, Events, and Reputation (and thus Commendations) from the menu (say under the "Discover" tab of the menu) would be reasonable. It would be a fairly decent way for Pirates to get a sense of what they might want to do in their session before actually jumping into a server (and without having to hop on a browser and load up the website). The game already has all the details since you can view them once you're on a server, so I don't see any reason to not allow it before you load in.

Simple QoL option for people to use if they want to. I think it would be worth the addition.

While I can appreciate that as the primary source, there are plenty of players that simply have their Xbox out in their living room and just want to casually look at that info without having to go to their office or pull out their phone or whatever. The current design forces them to take up space on a live server simply to check progress on things to make plans for their later-day session...or just check stats because we're nerds...or whatever.

I see nothing wrong with adding more player info to the menus before having to actually load into a server. In fact, it'd probably cut down at least a small number of ships that load into a server and leave similar to server hoppers.

Except how many folks don't have their phones nearly surgically attached to their person these days anyway? Furthermore, the website is so much more convenient than turning on the tv, the Xbox, and then loading up the game.

That said, you aren't wrong about having that info accessible in more areas. I will pass it along for the devs to view and consider. :)

Getting very close to the Blizzard "do you guys not have phones?" meme there! :P

I wasn't aware they had one. O.o That said, I was also reminded that even Xboxs have a browser to use. Admittedly not a very good one, but it's there. And I've actually just pulled it up myself. Looks about as good as you would see on a PC. So there are still other options to starting up the game and loading in from the console itself. :)

But I have passed it along as I said I would and we'll see where they take it from here.

Ask around the office, I'm sure someone will be able to fill you in! ;)

    No, no I don't have a phone.

  • @personalc0ffee no Diablo Immortal for you so! ;P

I actually saw the clip for this randomly somewhere the other day. I should have known it was in regards to the mobile Diablo game they were releasing. I actually knew of it, but stop caring and paying attention entirely once they said it was going to be on mobile. (And I've not watched Blizzcon in years.)
