Do I want it to be added? Yes and no.
Costumes are preventing the playerbase from actually using individual elements from them as cosmetic sets, not only that but costumes are highly overused to this day especially when you're a skeleton.
In my mind you should add that to the game but have it as individual pieces to be able to play and enjoy this set much more, and to prevent it's overuse make it more complicated to earn (that includes not offering is as a season/plunderpass reward).
And while you're at it why not do the same thing for all current costumes? Maybe not the whole complicated to earn part cause most of them aren't as worth it anymore but at least stripping them into individual pieces.

It's good points, and cosmetics should generally be separate, but you CAN'T separate pieces like that into individual slots. The entire cloak with it's hood and it's skeleton curse, and those gloves and that belt, and those pockets and chains and VFX...
Likewise, taking EVERY costume down to it's bare minimum pieces? That is a lot of work, and a lot of technical work too, as most of those items don't have vanity slots, nor model space on a pirate. It'd flood shops and become a general mess.Costumes allow us to have customisation in an exaugurated manner with vanity features that can't be added to the game (at least not yet, I still hold hope) and let people be these ghosts, or skeletons, or fish people. Individual pieces will come in time (not for this proposal), but that shouldn't be a reason to not have full costumes proposed and added.

I was thinking more of having the full cloak as the jacket for instance, and keeping it simple.
When it comes to the skeleton curse I'm guessing it could be somehow coming with it as optional.Having half a face hidden in the shadows on the top is fun
what would be more fun is a corpse curse where people can look a bit tore up. It's a kid's game so not full on undead Jack from American Werewolf in London but still a little bit of cotto salami face.
then an emote that can pull the hood back to reveal the full money maker.
